Black History Month: Spotlight On Student Activism at Bard
With Talaya Robinson-Dancy ’21
Thursday, February 23, 2023
Stevenson Library
5:00 pm – 6:30 pm EST/GMT-5
When was the first Black student organization formed on campus? What was it like to attend Bard as a person of color in the 1950s, 70s, or 90s? At this share and discover event, Talaya Robinson-Dancy ’21 will talk about their senior project research into the history of Black student activism at Bard and their experience as a student leader. After Talaya’s talk, we invite you to explore some key items from our archives that help tell the story of the Black student experience on campus, and then stay for pizza and an informal discussion. 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm EST/GMT-5
Sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Inclusive Excellence, Stevenson Library, and Friends of Stevenson Library.
