Monday, August 21, 2023
Bertelsmann Campus Center, Multipurpose Room
2:00 pm – 3:30 pm EDT/GMT-4
Join Bard College faculty to discuss two of the L&T texts, Frankenstein and Antigone, and their significance for issues of civic obligation and responsibility. Faculty will discuss what they see as significant or important about these texts, before inviting students to share their thoughts and responses. The aim of the session is to allow students to think about how they can draw upon ‘canonical’ texts to reflect upon civics within their own lives, and so students are encouraged to think about these themes in advance of the session.) 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm EDT/GMT-4
