OSUN, the Bard Prison Initiative, Incarceration Nations Network invites OSUN community members to the fourth session of the BPI Global Initiatives Virtual Lecture Series. The session, "Participatory Co-Governance in English Prisons," will be led by Bethany Schmidt, Assistant Professor in Penology and member of the Prison Research Centre at University of Cambridge, England. Bethany's expertise lies in field-based prisons research, with a particular interest in the sociological intersections of democracy, citizenship, and punishment. She co-edited Sensory Penalties: Exploring the Senses in Spaces of Punishment and Social Control with Kate Herrity and Jason Warr.
The BPI Global Initiatives Virtual Lecture Series runs until June 2023.
