Workshop DescriptionJoin John Michelotti, founder of Catskill Fungi, for a 60-minute online workshop and demonstration about growing oyster mushrooms indoors.
Mushrooms have been utilized for thousands of years for medicinal and edible purposes. During this workshop participants will learn about the life cycle of fungi as well as the medicinal and culinary properties of oyster mushrooms. There will be a live demonstration showing participants how to cultivate gourmet mushrooms indoors using quick, easy, inexpensive techniques. Get excited to create your own oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) starter grow kit at home!
Location: This is a live online event; preregistration is required. Following registration, participants will receive an email with instructions on how to join the meeting using Zoom video conferencing.
Cost: $1–$25+ (sliding scale)
