Passport Fair

Institute for International Liberal Education and Bard Abroad Present

Passport Fair

This event is part of International Education Week 2022
Thursday, November 17, 2022
Campus Center, Lobby and George Ball Lounge
11:00 am – 2:00 pm EST/GMT-5
The Institute of International Liberal Education is excited to host a U.S. passport ordering event as part of International Education Week 2022! Anyone in the Bard community (students, faculty, staff, administrators) may participate.

Representatives from the Dutchess County Clerk’s Office will be on campus to process new applications and take the required passport photos.

Please note that “standard” passport renewals of an adult expired passport (10 year) that has been expired for less than 5 years will not be done at this event, as they must be mailed in directly to the U.S. State Dept. With that said, the Dutchess County Clerk’s Office can take photos and review these applications for completion. Renewal of child (5 year) passports would be processed as a new application.

The clerks will have passport applications, but to save time we recommend completing the form here and printing out the completed passport application in advance. Be sure to bring any required documents as evidence of U.S. citizenship. Information about which documents suffice as evidence of citizenship is available here.

Credit cards are NOT accepted!  Payment must be made by check or money order as follows:

Adult, 16 years & older (under 18 must have a parent present):  $165.00 ($130 payable to US Department of State by check or money order and a separate payment of $35 payable to Dutchess County Clerk by money order, check, or cash).

Minor, under 16 (MUST be accompanied by both parents):  $135.00 ($100 payable to US Department of State by check or money order and a separate payment of $35 payable to Dutchess County Clerk by money order, check, or cash).

Passport Photo: available for an additional fee of $10.00 payable to Dutchess County Clerk by money order, check, or cash.

Expedite Fee:  (If needed), please add $78.32 ($60.00 Expedite Fee + $18.32 Express Mailer Fee) to the check or money order payable to US Department of State to expedite each application for a passport book or renewal.

A comprehensive list of U.S. Passport Fees is available here.
