Senior Carrel Lottery is now open with QR code linking to form. ; Senior Carrel Lottery!

Senior Carrel Lottery!

Charles P. Stevenson Jr. Library
Attention seniors! The lottery to secure a carrel in Stevenson Library opens at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 7. Students who are registered for Senior Project I or II and working on a research or writing-based project are eligible. Before entering the lottery, you should:
  • Check your library and ILLiad accounts to be sure you don’t have any overdue books or replacement fees on your account. You are not eligible for the lottery if your library accounts are not in good standing.
  • Consider whether you’d prefer a senior shelf instead of a carrel. Senior shelves are plentiful, and anyone that requests one will get one. If you really just want a place to store your research material in the library and don’t think you’ll use the desk, please request a shelf instead of a carrel. You can mark this preference on the carrel lottery form.
  • Consider sharing a carrel with a friend. This is a new option this year. If you have someone you’d like to share with, you BOTH must enter the lottery and name each other as a potential carrel-mate. Sharing is not required, but sharers will be given preference in the lottery, meaning you have a better chance of getting a carrel if you opt for this.
Note: Lottery entries are not timestamped. Those that enter on Monday at 12:01 have the same chances and those that enter on Sunday at 4:59, so please do take the time to clear up your library account and consider your options before filling out the form.

Enter the lottery here. The lottery form will close at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13. You will receive an email regarding lottery results the following week. Good luck!
