Pitzer in Southern Africa is a two-country semester program based in Botswana and South Africa. On this program, you will live with host families, participate in community service projects, immerse yourself in local cultures and languages, and work with scholars in each country.
You will finish off your semester by completing an Independent Study Project. The ISP may take the form of research, community engagement, internship, apprenticeship, or any combination that allows for a meaningful integration of academic inquiry and practical experience. As it is self-designed, the credit gained from your ISP can apply to any major. All Pitzer programs are tuition exchanges with Bard, so your financial aid can go with you.
