Several Bard faculty will participate in the 2026 Upstate Photography Biennial, a new exhibition series celebrating photography practice in upstate New York. Hosted by the Center for Photography at Woodstock Gallery in Kingston, and organized by curators Marina Chao and Adam Giles Ryan, the exhibition runs from May 30 until September 6, 2026. Bard Professors An-My Lê, Tanya Marcuse, Stephen Shore, Sara J. Winston, Tim Davis, and Sasha Phyars-Burgess will all show work in this exhibition. The series aims to reflect the strength and diversity of Hudson Valley photography, says curator Adam Giles Ryan. “Our role is to recognize that work, support it, and make sure it’s seen.”
