Bard Students Express Their Gratitude to Donors

On August 27, 2026, Bard College held its annual Thank a Donor event, organized by the Office of Development and Alumni/ae Affairs. This special occasion encourages students to compose thank you notes to some of the generous donors making a significant impact through their contributions to the Bard College Fund. The fund provides crucial support for undergraduates with their annual expenses. It also provides vital resources for scholarships, academic programs, faculty support, and facilities on campus, ensuring that students receive the full benefits of a top-tier liberal arts and sciences education.
This year, first year students participated enthusiastically, crafting handwritten notes on postcards, creating short videos, and sharing personal reflections on what they love about Bard and their aspirations for their time here. The Office of Development and Alumni/ae Affairs is dedicated to acknowledging the essential role that donors play in supporting the College and ensuring they feel valued for their contributions. The Thank a Donor event not only strengthens this connection, but also introduces students to the transformative power of philanthropy in their educational journeys, highlighting a community that believes in their potential.
