George Washington's "Daily Sacrifice": A Bibliographic Mystery

Did George Washington pray? This archives exhibit explores a long-standing controversy surrounding a manuscript prayerbook given to the College in 1895 by Rev.Charles Frederick Hoffman, who, like many others, believed it was written by George Washington. On display are archival items and facsimiles from the Bard College Archives and the Washington National Cathedral. Curated by Helene Tieger '85, Head of Archives and Special Collections at Stevenson Library. 
This exhibit is on view on the third floor of Stevenson Library in conjunction with "Not the Thing He Supposed It" symposium on October 23.
