Studio Art Visiting Artist Fall 2025
Tuesday, October 28, 2025
Bertelsmann Campus Center, Weis Cinema
5:30 pm – 7:00 pm EDT/GMT-4
Please join us for our first Visiting Artist Lecturer of the Fall 2025 semester. Working with text, found objects, and informal archives, New York based artist Rose Salane re-examines monumental historical events through individual accounts. Creating collaborations across disciplines such as urban planning and sociology, Salane’s work addresses elemental truths rooted within testimonies of those who were witnesses to the time period being examined. By re-signifying individual stories using methods of ethnography and objects that were once present, Salane reveals narratives that are often inaccessible through a macro historical lens. The artist completed her MA in Urban Planning at the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture, CUNY, and her BFA at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.5:30 pm – 7:00 pm EDT/GMT-4
