Music Program Presents

The Bard Electronic Music presents Qiujiang Levi Lu

Qiujiang Levi Lu / 卢秋江 is an experimental musician, composer, creative technologist, and educator. Described by I Care If You Listen as “brutally cohesive,” Lu works across live performance, electroacoustic instrument design, installation, composition, film scoring, and multimedia collaboration. Their work brings tenderness and violence into the same sonic space, using sound to create encounters with vulnerability, force, and altered perception.

Lu builds self-made electroacoustic instruments, including intraoral microphone-speaker feedback systems, amplified laptop interfaces, motion-sensing electronics, and other tools that extend the body as a site of sound-making. Their ritual-inflected performances bring Chinese lineages into conversation with noise, embodied technology, queerness, spirituality, and transformation.

The show will be followed by a Q&A
