New York State Awards Funding for Bard High School Early College Bronx Campus
The Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) Bronx has been announced as the recipient of a $215,000 investment from New York State to support its growth and expansion. The funding is bestowed as part of the Vision 32: Empowering the Bronx Initiative introduced by state Senator Luis R. Sepúlveda, which aims to promote capital investment in infrastructure and programmatic support for organizations across his district. “This investment reaffirms my commitment to educational equity and early access to high-quality college experiences for Bronx students and their academic future,” stated Senator Sepúlveda to the Bronx Daily. “The Bard Early College program not only gives young people the opportunity to earn college credits, at no cost, while still in high school, but it also strengthens their confidence, broadens their horizons, and reinforces the belief that access to higher education should be a right, not a privilege.”
Bard Early College is a multi-campus network with nine degree-granting campuses established to provide adolescents in American public school systems with the chance to go farther and faster than the status quo allows.
