Pavlina Tcherneva, president of the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College, was interviewed by the Minnesota Public Radio program Marketplace. The segment addressed forthcoming economic data and their implications on inflation and daily life for average Americans. Tcherneva pointed to the impact of energy prices on the problem of inflation, especially amidst ongoing war in the Middle East. “There are no indications at this moment that inflation expectations are slowing down,” she said. Tscherneva previously spoke with Marketplace, also about inflation, in June.
