Bard College Basketball Player Latiqua Williams Achieves Historic “Quadruple-Double”
“It feels great,” says Williams. “There’s going to be a moment when it hits me, but it hasn’t happened yet.” As to all the media attention, which included a story in the New York Times, the New York Post, and a mention in Sports Illustrated, “It’s mind-boggling, but I know that it will all be gone by next week, so I have to maintain my focus on my studies—I have a five-page paper due tomorrow.” Williams, who was recruited by head women’s basketball coach Jennifer Watson, is a history major. She plans to pursue a career in education or law after graduation.
