BBC Program Profiles Bard College Student Athlete Awet Eyob

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.— Awet Eyob, a Bard College student athlete, has been profiled on the BBC World Service radio program Outlook, which broadcasts extraordinary personal stories from around the world. The BBC episode of Outlook aired on October 5 and profiled Awet Eyob, a 20-year-old, six-foot-eight-inch Eritrean student. In the broadcast, Eyob tells his story of being secretly smuggled out of Eritrea and his long journey to New York, where he now studies at Bard College and plays basketball for the Bard College Raptors.
