BARD COLLEGE COMMUNITY CHORUS AND VOCAL ENSEMBLE WILL PRESENT APRIL 15 CONCERT.
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-The Bard College Community Chorus and Vocal Ensemble will present its spring concert, "An Evening of Poetry and Music," on Thursday, April 15, at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Innocents on the Bard College campus. The concert is free and open to the public.The chorus will perform two works by Benjamin Britten: the Hymn to St. Cecilia, with words by W. H. Auden, and Rejoice in the Lamb, a festival cantata with words by Christopher Smart. William Wilson, professor of English at Bard College, will offer remarks on the works.
The Vocal Ensemble is conducted by Megan Hastie and the Community Chorus is directed by Luis Garcia-Renart, professor of music at Bard College. Kevin Chun will be the organist for the concert.
