HUDSON VALLEY CHAMBER MUSIC CIRCLE ANNOUNCES 1999 SEASON AT BARD.

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-The Hudson Valley Chamber Music Circle announces its 1999 season, "Quintets and More." World-renowned musicians will perform on three Saturdays in June in the air-conditioned Olin Hall on the Bard College campus.

On Saturday, June 5, at 8:00 p.m. the Emerson String Quartet will be joined by Sharon Robinson, cello, in a performance of Schubert's Quintet in C Major (for "two cellos") and music by Shostakovich.

On Saturday, June 12, at 8:00 p.m. Andre Emelianoff, cello; Laura Flax, clarinet; Cynthia Raimi, harpsichord and piano; Gary Schocker, flute; and Jorja Fleezanis, violin, will perform Olivier Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time and music by J. S. Bach and Héctor Villa Lobos.

On Saturday, June 26, at 8:00 p.m. Ani Kavafian, violin; Ida Kavafian, violin; Anne Marie McDermott, piano; Steven Tenenbom, viola; and Peter Wiley, cello, will perform a Mozart duo for violin and viola, Shostakovich's piano quintet, and Brahms's piano quartet.

Informative preconcert talks, featuring participating musicians, will be given before each concert at 7:00 p.m.

All concerts are in Olin Hall on the Bard College Campus. Tickets for single concerts are $17 (except for the Emerson String Quartet, which are $25). Senior tickets are $12 and $15 (for the Emerson String Quartet). Student tickets are $5 for all concerts. Three-concert subscription tickets are available for $45.
