BARD COLLEGE MUSIC PROGRAM OFFERS MINI SERIES OF CONCERTS IN DECEMBER Concerts will Feature Jazz and Vocal Ensembles and the Bard College Community Chorus and Orchestra

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—The Music Program at Bard College will present a series of three concerts in December featuring a variety of jazz and vocal ensembles as well as the Bard College Community Orchestra and Chorus. The concerts, which are free and open to the public, will be held in Olin Hall on Wednesday, December 1; Sunday, December 5; and Friday, December 10, at 8:00 p.m.

The Gala Concert on Wednesday, December 1, will feature the two vocal ensembles under the direction of Arthur Burrows and Joan Fuerstman; the jazz ensemble, under the direction of Howard Johnson; the jazz guitar ensemble, under the direction of Peter Einhorn; and the Gamelan orchestras, under the direction of Ketut Suryatini.

The Bard College Community Chorus, under the direction of Luis Garcia-Renart, with members of the Cappella Festiva Chamber Choir and Orchestra will present Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio, on Sunday, December 5.

The third concert of the mini-series will be the Bard College Community Orchestra, under the direction of Joan Tower on Friday, December 10.
