TALK BY GABRIELA ADAMESTEANU AT BARD COLLEGE, ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 18, HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 19 The topic of her talk is "Gender Politics and Trafficking of Women and Children in Eastern Europe Today"
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—A talk by Gabriela Adameşteanu, the editor-in-chief of 22 magazine, Romania's main political and cultural weekly, originally scheduled for Tuesday, September 18, at Bard College, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 19, at 5:30 p.m. She will speak on the topic of "Gender Politics and Trafficking of Women and Children in Eastern Europe Today." Following her talk, Adameşteanu will be happy to answer any questions about Eastern Europe, and she also present her viewpoint of the recent, tragic events.
The talk, presented by the Human Rights Project and the Division of Languages and Literature at Bard, will be held in Room 102 of the F. W. Olin Humanities Building. Norman Manea, the noted exiled Romanian writer and Bard's Francis Flournoy Professor in European Studies and Culture, will introduce the program.
