SINGER AND SONGWRITER ZOE B. ZAK WILL PERFORM WITH STUDIO STU AT BARD COLLEGE ON THURSDAY, MARCH 20

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-Singer and songwriter Zoe B. Zak will perform at Bard College on Thursday, March 20. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Bard Hall and is free and open to the public.

Zak's music has been described as "blurring the line between playing and praying." Her music invites the listener on a journey to where the ancient and modern meet in a seamless and unique musical expression. This concert will feature Zak's new songs as well as traditional Jewish songs all in Hebrew, as well as nigunim (songs without words). Zak will perform on the piano and accordion, accompanied by Studio Stu, who "plays the wash tub bass like no one else," according to Zak. "Close your eyes and you will think you're hearing the finest of upright bass instruments being played," she says.

This program is sponsored by the Hebrew and Arabic, Jewish Studies, and Sociology programs at Bard. For further information, call Hezi Brosh at 845-758-7899 or e-mail [email protected].
