LIFETIME LEARNING INSTITUTE AT BARD COLLEGE PRESENTS THE ART EXHIBITION THROUGH THE EYES OF ELDERS, SEPTEMBER 10–12 Exhibition features the work of 23 members of the Lifetime Learning Institute

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—From Friday, September 10, through Sunday, September 12, the Lifetime Learning Institute (LLI) at Bard will present the exhibition Through the Eyes of Elders in the Bertelsmann Campus Center’s George Ball Lounge. This exhibition, which features the work of 23 Hudson Valley residents, is free and open to the public. Hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Included in the exhibition are works by Nick Annas, Leonard Bard, Loel Barr, Stanley Blum, Beverly DeMott, Al Eisman, Stephen Fisher, Ellen Foreman, Rima Glaser, Marty Goldstein, Dorothy Hellerman, Harriet Hoffman, Annie LaBarge, Josette Lee, William Levitt, Elena Lonning, Arzi McKeown, Phyllis Marsteller, Ann Neufeld, Lise Poirier, Rosalie Rossi, Jane Sunshine, and Marcie Woodruff. LLI member Arzi McKeown, who coordinated the exhibition, notes that “viewers can walk among those who are offering their creative, expressive, and artistic reflections, and enjoy experiencing and sharing the unique interpretations of the world that are represented.” Sponsored by Bard College, the Lifetime Learning Institute provides opportunities for actively retired persons to share their love of learning in a setting that fosters the exchange of ideas and experiences. The Institute is affiliated with the Elderhostel Institute Network and offers noncredit, noncompetitive courses taught by volunteers on the Bard College campus. Classes are held during the spring and fall semesters and a January minisession. Special events include speakers programs, cultural trips, and moderated panels. In addition to study and discussion, members are encouraged to participate actively in all aspects of the operation of the Institute. Membership is open to all adults of retirement age residing in Dutchess, Ulster, and Columbia Counties of New York State.
