Bard College at Simon’s Rock Alumna Fanta Ballo Receives First-Ever Wonder Grant from Shawn Mendes Foundation and Google

Bard College at Simon’s Rock alumna Fanta Ballo AA ’17 has received the first-ever Wonder Grant from The Shawn Mendes Foundation and Google. The grant will support Fanta in expanding her change-making poetry and social justice activism to a wider audience, including young people in her hometown of Harlem. The 18-year-old college senior is now pursuing her BA in economics at the University of Albany after earning her AA in liberal arts at Simon’s Rock.
