WAMC On the Road Featured Hannah Arendt Center’s “JOY: Loving the World in Dark Times” Conference

WAMC’s The Roundtable with host Joe Donahue aired live from this year’s Hannah Arendt Center’s 17th annual conference, “JOY: Loving the World in Dark Times.” The event on Bard’s campus was centered around the meaning of joy as a deep and necessary act of loving the world, even in the most challenging of times. Participating in the conference felt “like you’re being a part of something and doing something important,” said student Charles Goehring ’28. He continued that something all Bardians have in common is that “they really have an itch to do better, to make the world a better place.”
