Annual Calendar

The program operates September through May, Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 5:15 pm.

In June we offer a mixed-age group program.
The program is closed in July and most of August. We close for holiday recesses and offer sign-up days for other school breaks. We occasionally close for Parent-Teacher Conference days and Professionals Development days throughout the year. Please contact the directors for updated calendars. Calendars are subject to change. 

Calendar 2024-2025

Sample Morning Schedule

8:30–9:15 am Open flow arrival 
8:45–10:30 am Morning Curriculum Projects and Play
Parents help children sign in, hang up back packs, and wash hands upon entry to the classroom
Play and Curriculum Projects: Blocks, Dramatic Play, Puzzles, Art, Sensory & Texture materials, Books, Writing, Cooking, Woodworking, Gardening, Nature Observations
9:30–10 am Open Snack Children are invited to visit the family style snack table 
10:30 am Clean up Children use a job chart to hep tidy an area of the classroom
10:40 am Meeting time The whole group gathers on the rug for stories, songs, and curricular exploration
11:00 am Playground  Free play outside, gardening, walks, nature discovery
Noon Lunch Ring the bell, transition songs, and prepare for lunch

Lunch (Approximately 12:00 – 12:45)

Sample Afternoon Schedule

1:10–2:30 pm     Nap/Rest time Teachers play quiet music and sit along side children, sharing a relaxing transition time with stories and picture books. Some children go right to sleep after lunch. Other children rest but do not sleep. We offer quiet play options (puzzles, clip boards, books) to non-sleepers.  
2:30 pm Post rest transition Put away rest things, set tables for snack, bathroom.
2:30 -3:00 pm Afternoon snack and transition to playground Afternoon snack in the kitchen, pack up belongings to bring to outdoor cubbies (weather permitting).
3:15 pm- 4 pm Playground Free play on playground or in studio (depending on weather).
4 pm Transition to Extended Day Children may switch playgrounds.
4 pm - 5:15 Extended Day The end of the day is balanced with outdoor play and indoor projects. We may share school playgrounds and enjoy mixed age groups and combined teaching teams for the last hour of the afternoon.

  • Dates and Hours of Operation
    • The program operates during Fall and Spring semester (September-May) and is open Monday-Friday 8:30-5:15.
    • A mixed age group program in June is offered as well.
    • The program is closed in July and August.
