Biography:
B.A., Bard College; M.F.A., Yale University. Photographer. Solo exhibition,
The New Antiquity, Greenberg Van Doren Gallery, New York (2009); many other solo exhibitions in New York, London, Los Angeles, Brussels, Geneva, Atlanta, Miami. Photographs in the collections of the Guggenheim, Metropolitan, Whitney, Hirshhorn, Walker, and other museums. Author of five books of photographs, most recently
The New Antiquity (Damiani, 2009), and two collections of poetry. Discovery Award finalist, 2004 Arles Photography Festival; Joseph H. Hazen Rome Prize Fellow in residence, American Academy in Rome (2007�08). Contributor to publications including
Artforum, Art on Paper, Blind Spot, Metropolis. Lecturer in photography, Yale University (2001�03). At Bard since 2003.
