Irish and Celtic Studies
Interdivisional Concentrations

Overview

The Irish and Celtic Studies (ICS) concentration offers access to three main areas: Celtic traditions in myth, religion, literature, and art; Anglo-Irish literature from the 18th through the 20th centuries; and the politics and history of Ireland.

Requirements

Students moderate into a disciplinary program (e.g., art history, historical studies) and are responsible for the requirements of that program. Two members of the Moderation board should be Irish studies faculty. Students are advised to take one or two core courses before Moderation, such as Art History 320, Celtic Art; or Literature 2650, Irish Fiction.
