Q:Are students who do not demonstrate financial need eligible for Bard Scholarships or the EEC Scholarship? If one's school uses percentiles instead of rankings, is a letter from a school official explaining that the student would be in the top ten if ranking was used sufficient to qualify the student for the EEC scholarship? Also, are there any additional merit-based scholarships besides the one listed on the website? Finally, are students notified of having received a merit scholarship at the same time their financial-aid package is sent? Thank you.

Q:My parents have not yet received all their tax information, and don't feel like they will be able to do their taxes before the Febuary 15th deadline. It's our impression that we need our 2007 taxes to apply for Financial Aid. What sort of consequences will there be for not completing the Financial Aid forms on time?

Q:I am a junior and have attended a private school for high school. My school is accredited, but does not offer any honors or AP classes. I am taking the two advanced classes(Physics, and Pre-Cal) that my school offers, but I was wondering if the lack of honors courses at my school would prevent me from being accepted at Bard. Thank you.

Q:The supplement for Bard on the Common Application website has a choice of essays. One of them is a graded assignment from junior or senior year. Would Bard prefer that I send in the actual paper with the teacher's comments and grade on it or should I just upload the document to the Common App website?
