Start your college career abroad: spend your first year at Bard College Berlin.
Begin in Berlin students participate in an intellectual community like no other. With small, discussion-based classes taught in English, a classically coherent curriculum that also responds to global changes, an international student body, and a world-class faculty, Bard College Berlin offers an intimate learning environment within one of Europe’s great intellectual, political, economic, and artistic centers. 
More detailed information about the Begin in Berlin program is circulated to admitted students in May each year.

Begin in Berlin

Begin in Berlin

Entering students may spend their first year at Bard’s campus in Berlin, Germany, joining a global student body of over 300 and more than 66 countries. Begin in Berlin students take Language and Thinking and the first-year core sequence at Bard College Berlin, and may choose electives from courses in (among others) German language, practicing and performing arts, social studies, literature, art history, aesthetics, philosophy, and social engagement—many of which use the city as a classroom. All credits transfer automatically to Annandale.
