“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.” ~ Charles Dickens

The mission of the Student Support & Relief Fund (SSRF) is to provide relief from undue financial stress so that students and their families can remain engaged in their college careers at Bard College in Annandale.

                    SSRF Requests                  Provided to Students

The Student Support & Relief Fund (SSRF) was created in March 2020 as a result of faculty and staff joining together to support students in need at Bard College in Annandale, and as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. At Bard, we are committed to ensuring students are given every opportunity to succeed in and out of the classroom without the stress of unpredicted life challenges. The SSRF is available to any matriculated Bard student at the Annandale campus.

The fund aims to assist students who are experiencing unforeseen challenges throughout their semester, despite their effort to be adequately prepared financially. Unforeseen circumstances may include but are not limited to: the loss of an immediate family member, an unexpected but emergent trip home, required educational supplies, or urgent personal needs. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who need assistance should email [email protected] or complete the request form here. All SSRF requests are reviewed on a weekly basis by a committee of Bard faculty and staff.
