Please note that the filing deadlines below apply to Early Action, Immediate Decision, Bard Entrance Examination, Early Decision I & II candidates and Regular Decision. Financial aid funds are limited; not every student who demonstrates financial need can be granted aid. Students who apply by the deadline receive first consideration for awards; late applications are considered in the order of receipt until all funds are committed.

For 2024-25 only, the FAFSA will be available beginning in December 2023. 

Important Dates

October The CSS Profile is available for the next academic year.  For 2024-25 only, the FAFSA will be released in December.  
November 1 Deadline for Bard International Financial Aid Application for first-year international students who apply as an early applicant.  
Deadline for CSS Profile for IDP applicants to receive early notification of the financial aid estimate.  The FAFSA should be completed once available in December, and no later than February 1, 2024. 
Deadline for CSS Profile for all spring transfers (international and non-international). The FAFSA should be completed once available in December. 
December 1 Deadline for financial aid forms for non-international first-year students who apply as an early applicant.  Early Decision I applicants must file the the CSS Profile by this date and the FAFSA once it is available, and no later than February 1, 2024.  Bard Entrance Examination, or Early Action applicants may file by this date to receive an early notification of the financial aid estimate.
Mid December Financial aid awards begin being released electronically for all first-year students (international and non-international) who apply as an early applicant, as well as for Spring transfer students.
January Returning students: File the FAFSA and CSS Profile forms. 
January 1 Deadline for financial aid form for international first-year students who apply Early Decision II or Regular Decision.
February 1 Deadline for financial aid forms for non-international first-year students who apply Early Decision II or Regular Decision. This includes the CSS Profile (if applying for institutional scholarship) and FAFSA for fall entrance. 
March 1 Deadline for applications for Fall Transfer applicants, including applicants to the Return to College Program. (International and non-international.)
Mid-March  Financial aid awards begin being released electronically for all first-year students (international and non-international) who apply regular decision.
March 31  Deadline for returning students to file CSS Profile and FAFSA for the next aid year. (If you are unsure which forms you need to file, please contact the Office of Financial Aid.)
April 15  Deadline for submission of forms for returning international students.
Early May  Award information made available electronically to all returning students with completed and processed forms.
May 1  Deadline for accepted students to respond to Admission and Financial Aid offices.
Mid-Late May  Deadline for returning students to respond to Financial Aid Office for aid to be processed in a timely manner.
Late May  Filing period for Federal Stafford Loan and PLUS Loan.
