Russian/Eurasian Studies Program Presents

Eugene Onegin Screening

Alexander Pushkin's novel in verse, Eugene Onegin, has inspired many musical, film and theatrical adaptations. This production by the renowned Lithuanian director Rimas Tuminas premiered in 2013 at the Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow and was immediately hailed as the theatre event of the year. Presented by "Stage Russia," an American company that films and provides English subtitles for Russian theatre productions for an American audience, this version of Eugene Onegin is undoubtedly a work of art that both provokes and delights.
