Are you ready for an engaging and immersive experience abroad? Consider studying with the Intercollegiate Sri Lanka Education (ISLE) Program!
ISLE is a one-semester program affiliated with the University of Peradeniya in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The program offers courses in Gender & Women's Studies, Peace & Conflict Studies, Religion, Political Science, Public Health, and more. During the semester, you'll live with a host family, learn introductory Sinhala and Tamil languages, takes classes with renowned Sri Lankan professors, and complete a field-based independent research project on a topic of your choice. Past ISLE projects have become the foundations of Senior Projects and post-graduate research fellowships. To learn more about the opportunities that await you in Sri Lanka, stop by the ISLE information table in the Campus Center on Monday, October 2nd. ISLE representative and Bard '15 alumna, Hannah Durham, will be present to answer your questions about the integrating a semester in Sri Lanka into your Bard experience. We hope to see you there!
