The Bard Applicant Portal is your personalized hub throughout the admission process. Here, you’ll find your Application Checklist, which helps you track what we’ve received and what might still be missing. You can upload documents directly—like essays or supplements—as Word files, PDFs, or scanned images. Materials submitted by counselors and teachers, such as transcripts and recommendations, will appear with a green checkmark once received.
Be sure to check your portal regularly for updates about your application and financial aid status. You’ll also receive important announcements and notifications here—including your admission decision. When your portal is updated, you’ll get an email prompting you to log in and click “View Update.” From there, you can accept, decline, or defer your offer of admission and even submit your enrollment deposit.
Staying connected to your Bard Applicant Portal ensures you don’t miss a thing!

After you Apply
Once you submit your Common Application or Coalition with Scoir, please allow 24 to 48 hours for processing. You’ll receive a confirmation email with your Bard Portal login credentials once your application is received.
If you submit your application on the deadline date but still have required materials to upload, don’t worry—you may still submit those items through your Bard Portal after the deadline. However, it's important to upload them as soon as possible, as the admission committee cannot review incomplete applications.
Please use your Bard Portal to upload and track all application materials. Do not mail or email documents directly to the Admission Office unless specifically instructed. You can manage your submissions and view received items under the “Application” tab in your portal.
