Attending Other Programs Abroad

How It Works

Bard College students may petition to attend any credit-bearing study abroad program. The Programs by Country section below includes study abroad programs in which Bard students have attended in the past. Programs followed by an asterisk (*) represent Bard Abroad and Tuition Exchange programs. Bard financial aid can only be applied toward the cost of Bard Abroad programs and Tuition Exchanges. Federal aid (such as Pell Grants) can be redirected to outside programs. Tuition remission exchange packages do not automatically transfer to study abroad opportunities. Students with financial aid/scholarships of any type should make an appointment with the Financial Aid Office to discuss the financial ramifications of their study abroad plans. Note: students studying on non-Bard programs (anything other than a Bard Abroad program or Tuition Exchange) will be charged a $750 per semester Academic Leave Fee by Bard, and pay the program costs directly to their chosen program.

Additional Programs

With the support of their adviser(s), students may petition to attend programs not included below by following the Bard study abroad process. To search for additional programs in your desired country/academic discipline visit iiepassport.org.
