A Note for Non-Bard Students
Check with the study abroad office at your home institution as to which financial aid and institutional grants you will be able to use toward participation in your chosen study abroad program. Under certain circumstances you may also qualify for additional financial aid, so it is also important to talk to your financial aid adviser.

Bard Abroad Scholarships

Bard Abroad offers scholarships for non-Bard students who attend semester, academic year, and/or summer programs. Students should consult with their home institution’s Office of Financial Aid to determine the exact terms and conditions of their aid package as applicable to study abroad when applying for scholarships.

For Bard students participating in a Bard Abroad program, Bard financial assistance transfers for the semester and academic year programs. Bard students may only apply for Bard Abroad scholarships for summer programs.

Students with tuition remission and tuition remission exchange packages should consult with their home institution’s Office of Financial Aid and the IILE at Bard College regarding the terms and conditions of their packages as applicable to study abroad. These packages do not automatically transfer to study abroad opportunities.

Bard Abroad IILE Scholarship

IILE scholarships are available to any student demonstrating financial need. Applications are particularly encouraged from students whose tuition at their home institution is significantly lower than Bard’s tuition rate, and/or for whom financial aid and/or institutional scholarships cannot be transferred toward participation in the program. Application is part of program application process.
