A strong and active network composed of many of Berlin’s cultural, economic, political, and academic institutions enables students at BCB to interact with the city's leading scholars, activists, thinkers, and artists. Partner institutions include the Technische Universität, Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Institute for Cultural Inquiry, American Academy, and Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
Life on Campus
The student body at Bard College Berlin is small, yet highly international.
It includes not only full-time BCB students, but also visiting students from the Bard College network, the European Erasmus exchange network, and other partner institutions, as well as students from areas of crisis, fostering rich opportunities for engagement.
Prearrival and Orientation
All Bard Abroad in Berlin programs begin with a comprehensive predeparture information session.
Upon arrival on campus, students undertake a two-day orientation that focuses on program expectations (academic and behavioral), health and safety information, cultural adjustment strategies, and an introduction to life in Berlin.

Housing and DiningBard Abroad Berlin and Begin in Berlin students live in shared double rooms in suite-style housing on campus. Meals are provided through a meal service. There is always a vegetarian option.

Student ActivitiesEach semester kicks off with the Berlin Weekend! Other events organized include concerts, workshops, lectures, informal community meetings, dinners, sporting events, and cultural day trips.

Campus FacilitiesThe BCB campus is located in the residential district of Pankow, and all buildings are within walking distance, including classrooms, dorms, cafeteria, and the factory studio arts building. The nearby SPOK Fitness Center serves as the school gym and is accessible on weekdays and weekends free of charge.
