PAC Call for Proposals for Fall 2025
MEMORANDUM
To: Bard Faculty
From: Planning and Appointments Committee
Date:January 28, 2026
Re: Call for Proposals
In the spring semester, the Planning and Appointments Committee (PAC) will consider proposals for tenure-track positions or replacement positions instigated by resignations, tenure denials or denials of reappointment. The deadline for submission of proposals in the spring will be Wednesday March 25.
Positions are not automatically approved. Both new and replacement positions require substantive proposals and should be discussed and endorsed by the relevant program(s) and division before submitting to the PAC.
For information about what to include in your proposal, and to submit electronically, please visit:
https://tools.bard.edu/tools/pac/. Please also note that all search committee members must be up-to-date with inclusive search training (i.e. at the time of the search, they will have participated in the last three years).
Please mark your calendar for the next session, “Best Principles of Inclusive Searches,” on Thursday April 30, 5-6.15pm (on Zoom), and RSVP to Sherry Gildersleeve ([email protected]).
Any questions? Please reach out to Lauren Curtis ([email protected], Chair, L&L), Jackie Goss (Secretary, [email protected], Arts), Caitlin Leverson ([email protected], SMC), or Sean McMeekin ([email protected], SSt).
