Part-time Monitoring & Evaluation SpecialistThe Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program at Bard College responds to an urgent need for innovative education. This transformation requires teachers who can help secondary school students develop the thoughtful self-determination that builds from a genuine enthusiasm for learning. The MAT is active in multiple locations: on Bard’s main campus in New York State; Los Angeles, CA; Abu Dis, Palestine; and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, which will open its MAT Program in 2018/19.
Bard College is seeking a part-time education program evaluation specialist to join its team. The specialist will assist the MAT in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of its teacher education programs. S/he will assist the faculty in implementing existing monitoring and evaluation plans, adjusting plans as necessary, and will build the capacity of the MAT to conduct ongoing evaluations of the program's effectiveness and impact on schools. The specialist will have the full range of knowledge and skills necessary to develop relevant indicators and collect and analyze data needed for the measurement of program outcomes for both internal use and presentation to accreditors, donors, and policy makers.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field and at least seven years of experience in the monitoring and evaluation of education programs. S/he will be fluent in both qualitative and quantitative educational research methods. The ability to work with data in Arabic is highly desirable, but not required.
