Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship Info Session / Application Workshop
Wednesday, February 28, 2018
Kappa House
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST/GMT-5
Do you have a Pell Grant? Do you know that having one makes you eligible to apply for a Gilman Scholarship for study abroad for a semester or a summer (including Bard Summer Language Intensives and summer programs at Bard College Berlin)? 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST/GMT-5
You could be awarded up to $5,000 for a semester ($8,000 if you’ll study a “critical need language”), and up to $2,500 for a summer program (at least one month in duration).
COME FIND OUT about the Gilman from three Bard students who studied abroad and were awarded Gilmans! Hear about their experiences in Iceland, Korea, and Hungary and learn about the post-program project they proposed in their Gilman application.
ALREADY WORKING ON A GILMAN APPLICATION? Bring your laptop and the Gilman recipients and Study Abroad Adviser Trish Fleming will help you with any questions you have about the application, including budget preparation, Follow-On Service Project ideas, and more.
Questions? Or have class at that time? Email Study Abroad Adviser Trish Fleming at [email protected].
