Monthly Walking Tours
Bard Arboretum Walk at Montgomery Place

Monthly Walking Tours

The Landscape and Arboretum Program hosts monthly Bard Arboretum walks. The walks take place from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., always on the third Thursday of each month, March through November. Join us for a leisurely stroll around the campus to explore some of the beautiful trees, shrubs, and perennials that make up our landscape. Horticulture senior staff talks about Bard's unique specimens, seasonal plants, and staff favorites. The walks take place rain or shine and are free.

DIGGING DEEPER: Discovering Blithewood: Guided Garden and Arboretum Tours

Learn about the historic plantings, architecture, and what's in bloom. Enjoy the natural splendor of the grand landscape overlooking the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains. Tours will be provided by Blithewood Garden and Arboretum and Garden Conservancy staff. Registration includes one gift of a starter plant for each registrant.

Bard College and the Garden Conservancy have partnered to preserve Blithewood as a cultural resource. At over 100 years old, Blithewood has been greatly diminished by the passage of time. Together, we are working to return this iconic garden to its grandeur. All proceeds from this event will support the rehabilitation of Blithewood Garden.
