The Bard Arboretum hosts different events throughout the year including lectures, art exhibitions, and other celebrations such as our annual Arbor Day festivities, which are open to the public. The Friends of Blithewood Garden is a member-supported working group dedicated to rebuilding the architectural and horticultural elements of Blithewood Garden. Partnered with The Garden Conservancy, who advises on appropriate treatments for the historic garden, together we work to steer the project forward by raising both visibility and funds and advocating on its behalf.

Proceeds from the Blithewood Garden picnic and book sale support the restoration of Bltihewood Garden.
The Landscape and Arboretum Program hosts monthly Bard Arboretum walks. The walks take place from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., always on the third Thursday of each month, March through November. Join us for a leisurely stroll around the campus to explore some of the beautiful trees, shrubs, and perennials that make up our landscape. Horticulture senior staff talks about Bard's unique specimens, seasonal plants, and staff favorites. The walks take place rain or shine and are free.
