  • Student Internships and Employment
Every summer the Bard Arboretum employs a Bard undergraduate student for a 10- to 12-week internship. The selected intern will receive a hands-on training opportunity in professional horticulture and curatorial work. Student employment opportunities are also available during the academic year.

Make a Donation to the Bard Arboretum

The Bard Arboretum preserves the campus landscape’s specimen trees and installs identification and interpretive signs for significant ornamental plantings and gardens. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Arboretum catalogs Bard's horticultural assets and hosts educational events. Donors enable the Arboretum to carry out these important cultural responsibilities to protect our historic landscape. When you make a donation, you become a partner in our mission. There are a variety of ways to give, and every contribution makes a difference.

Student Perspective

Rachel Explores Ward Manor and the Bard Farm

Rachel is a Bard College student in the Psychology Program. She visits one of the landmarks of Bard's campus: Ward Manor, often called simply “Manor.” The porch behind Manor is a prime spot to study, enjoy a meal from the Manor Cafe, or connect with friends. The porch boasts a view of the Bard Farm, the iconic Stargon sculpture (affectionately called “The Bunny Ears”), and the Catskill Mountains in the background.
