All persons who upload content to Bard’s websites, social media platforms, and other web-based platforms are expected to use imagery that the College has the rights to use or reproduce. At any time, you may contact
[email protected] to request a Bard-approved image for use on Bard’s websites or social media. If you or someone at Bard has created a graphic for the express purpose of advertising a College event or program, you may freely use such graphics online. If, however, you are using an image not provided by the Office of Communications, then you must ensure that the image is permitted for the College’s uses.
In general, it is best to use images produced or commissioned by the College, or to ensure that the images you are using have an appropriate
Creative Commons license. However, if obtaining an image from an outside source, you must contact the photographer, videographer, artist, or creator to obtain written permission for the College to use and/or reproduce the work on our websites and social media platforms. For any questions regarding these standards, please email
[email protected].
