Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): Bard requires that all students seeking financial aid complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA must be submitted in order for federal aid eligibility to be determined.  For 2024-25 only, the FAFSA will be available beginning in December.
    • Deadline: December for early admission candidates
    • February 1 for fall entrance for new students
    • March 31 for returning students

    Noncustodial Parent's PROFILE
Whether the parents of the applicant are divorced, separated, or were never married, the noncustodial parent will be expected to complete the Noncustodial Parent's PROFILE after the student has completed the CSS PROFILE. This form is typically required when an applicant applies for financial aid for the first time.

Verification Worksheets

Approximately 30 percent of those filing the FAFSA are selected by the federal processor to be verified; the Verification Worksheet must be submitted to confirm the size of the family's household and the number of students in college on at least a half-time basis. In addition, income must be verified for parent and student. The IRS Data Retrieval Tool on the FAFSA or the IRS Tax Return Transcript are acceptable forms of income verification.
