Admissions Associate

Bard College’s Graduate Programs in Sustainability (GPS) is seeking a full-time Admissions Associate to support recruitment, admissions processing, and marketing efforts. The role plays an important part in engaging prospective students, managing admissions workflows, and supporting recruitment communications. The Admissions Associate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple projects, and work well both independently and collaboratively.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Director of Enrollment and Marketing. The Admissions Associate will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule but will be required to be on Bard College’s Hudson Valley campus at least one day each week and as needed to support program activities. Travel to New York City is also required approximately once per month, along with occasional recruitment travel.

Bard’s Graduate Programs in Sustainability (GPS) cultivate leaders who break through existing systems to develop solutions to critical social, environmental, and economic challenges. Bard GPS offers graduate degrees in policy, business, and education that combine rigorous academics with practical field-based training and career development support. Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Outreach
  • Conduct outreach with prospective students and support recruitment communications related to events, application deadlines, and admissions decisions
  • Build and maintain recruitment pipelines with undergraduate institutions and partner organizations
  • Represent Bard GPS at conferences, graduate fairs, and recruitment events (occasional travel required)
  • Support recruitment and yield initiatives, including planning and coordinating recruitment events and facilitating connections between prospective students and the Bard GPS community
Admissions Processing and Systems Management
  • Track, review, and process applications 
  • Coordinate admissions interviews
  • Maintain accurate admissions and recruitment data while supporting prospect pipeline management and system integrations
Marketing Support
  • Support recruitment marketing through social media management, digital content development, and website updates
  • Assist with video production and other communications supporting recruitment and enrollment goals
  • Additional Support
  • Provide programmatic or administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
Requirements for this position include
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: admissions, student recruitment, enrollment management, or marketing and communications
  • Proficiency using Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Zoom
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability and eagerness to quickly learn new software
  • Ability to occasionally travel, and to work weekends and evenings
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally lift and transport up to 40 pounds 
Preferred qualifications for this position include
  • Experience working with graduate students
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva 
  • Experience using Slate
  • Experience using HubSpot

Compensation: $27 - $29 per hour

This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
