Celebrate Car Free day by rethinking your commute. What would it take to travel differently today?
Bard is partnering with 511NY Rideshare and encouraging travelers across the state to participate in Car Free Day—an international event celebrated on September 22 in more than 50 countries with the goal of reducing traffic congestion and improving mobility and sustainability. To participate all you have to do is go car free or car lite on September 22 by riding a bus, carpooling, biking*, walking, combining trips, driving an electric vehicle, or teleworking (as allowable). *At Bard we are doing the special Bike Challenge using Strava. Strava is a GPS app that tracks physical activity. The app offers real-time mileage tracking. Join "Bard Bicycles" today to log your trip on Friday or anytime! The Bike Challenge runs through October 9, and we have small prizes for participants. Link to our club is below—join today!
Follow 511NY Rideshare and share your Car Free Day experience by tagging them and using #CarFreeDay and #MyGreenTrip.
