European Council President Charles Michel, UN Women, Nadia’s Initiative and the Dr Denis Mukwege Foundation will co-host the third edition of the Council's "Women in Conflicts" debate among young women survivors, activists, policymakers and leaders working in conflict and post-conflict regions.
Sonita Alizada, a senior at OSUN member institution Bard College, and international rapper and human rights activist, will participate in the debate. Originally from Afghanistan, Alizada fled the country with her family at age 10 and has become a fierce advocate against the practice of forced child marriage.

The event will be held in New York, at the margins of the UN General Assembly week, and will be livestreamed.
