Trevor Saint performs “Closed Categories in Cartesian Worlds” - new music for glockenspiel. He has commissioned and premiered the first solo works for the extended-range instrument, playing wildly with the extreme offerings of an instrument that is both humble and worthy. 8:00 pm EST/GMT-5
Trevor performs with Skewed and Such - a duo with Jeff Herriott for glockenspiel and laptop, Skøefst - an improvising trio with Christopher Burns (guitar) and Amanda Schoofs (voice), Great Lakes Improvising Orchestra led by Hal Rammel, Minor Vices, and the percussion duo, Undue.
Recent projects include a group of works for glockenspiel by Matt Sargent, composing and instrument building for Skewed and Such, and an evening-length work for orchestra bells by Stuart Saunders Smith.
Trevor holds degrees in percussion performance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (B.M.) and the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (M.A.).
