The Dos, Don’ts, and Sometimes of Cover Letters, Resumes, Interviews, and Networking for Theater
Whether you’re applying for an entry-level job or summer internship in directing, design, theater administration, or some other department at a professional theater, there’s one thing every applicant has to do – convince somebody to take a chance on you, rather than one of the other 100 applicants.
Join a panel of alumni/ae and theater professionals to discuss how to create a successful resume, write an effective cover letter, and stand out in an interview. We’ll also discuss the most important thing, how to get the most out of an internship or first job. It’s not what you think.
When: Friday, October 23, 4:30pm
Where: Richard B. Fisher Center Conference Room
Led by: Bard Alumni/ae and Theater Professionals
If you’d like feedback on your resume, feel free to bring it along and we’ll take a look. If there’s not somebody there who feels qualified to comment on your resume, we’ll find someone who is.
Sponsored by The Natalie Lunn Technical Theater Award of Bard College, The Bard Career Development Office, and Bard Works.
This event is brought to you by alumni/ae responsible for creating the Natalie Lunn Technical Theatre Award with support from the Office of Alumni/ae Affairs, The Bard Career Development Office and Bard Works.
